Some Times

Sometimes it’s easier to lose than win.
Easier to let her go, easier to fall than fly.
There’s no way back, no way to forget
Winter’s cold and lonely window on
The world after a Fall in which another
Incarnation turned away, leaving you
Unmoored and dismasted on a river
Boiling through a desert east of Eden.
Wish them well, the living and the loved.
They have homes and hopes, troubled
Minds, places in the heart, warm hearths.
Sometimes love just can’t quite reach
You, and some times last as long as life.
